I love the boxer-ed butt in the air...and that is a good question to ask: If I had to choose between dinner and buying paint, which would I choose?

I have student debt.

Nice. This is hard for me. I love food, and grew up with an ingrained appreciation for good food-- so the whole cupboard of v8 and ramen could NEVER cut it for me. 50-75 dollars a month on food? WTF. No way.

What I envy though, is his absolute need to create. Artmaking comes before good food. It comes before many of the other pleasures of life that cost money. If he can be fulfilled by making art enough not to need those other things, then he has a perfect arrangement.

I, on the other hand, have too many interests from which I derive pleasure, and so, have a hard time deciding what to spend my money on first and how to allot my time.

Oh art.
